Drop-In Mentoring

Meet with mid- and senior-level female ARVO members for a short mentoring session at ARVO 2021

WEAVR Drop-In Mentoring Program

Two women sitting at a table talkingWomen in Eye and Vision Research, an initiative of the ARVO Foundation, will offer the Drop-In Mentoring program at the virtual ARVO 2021 meeting. Mid- and senior-level female ARVO members will be available during specified times to meet with individuals who may be looking for professional guidance from a female perspective.

These are brief, one-on-one, self-scheduled sessions of 15-30 minutes to take place via the ARVO 2021 meeting platform, hosted on Pathable. You must be registered for the Meeting to schedule a session.

How it works

Drop-in hours will be offered during limited times shown below.

To participate, schedule a private meeting with one of the available mentors listed below (a private meetings is a one-on-one Zoom meeting that can be scheduled between any two attendees). To do so:

  • Hover over the 'People' item in the ARVO 2021 navigation menu and select 'Attendees'
  • Enter the mentor's name in the 'Search' field
  • Click on their profile, then on the next page click the 'Schedule Meeting' button

You may start now to schedule private meetings that would take place during the Annual Meeting dates: May 1 - 7.

Mentorship support is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and availability is limited.
